Cities, towns, non-profit organizations and corporate entities all have a need for a USAP multi-purpose facility.  These facilities help position a client to compete for a wide variety of granting opportunities intended to benefit at risk youth and young people and adults with special needs.

Young People and Adults with Special Needs

Currently there are over 53 million Americas that are disabled.  Of those 53 million over 70% are unemployed.  Between the ages of 8 18 over 6 million young people in America are disabled and have not had an opportunity to participate in "inclusive" sporting events that will be offered at USA facilities.

Child abuse, homelessness, violence, drugs, and low-income/poverty are common themes of many neighborhoods in every city in America.  The White House Office of Faith Based & Community Initiatives provided the following information strongly supporting our goal to target today's youth and offer them solutions for the neglect and hazards they face in their communities:

   - Approximately 13 million children under the age of 18 - almost a fifth of America's young people - go hungry or are at risk of being hungry.

   - Close to 2 million children has a parent in prison.

   - 22 million Americans had substance dependence or abuse problems.

   - In Florida alone, over 20,000 kids under the age of 16 were arrested for drug trafficking in 2003.

   - There are 42 million people in the world living with HIV/AIDS and close to 900,000 of these people live in the US.

   - The Boys and Girls Club National Office reports that it costs about $200 per child per year to provide services.  But consider the alternative:  keeping a young adult in jail costs taxpayers anywhere from $25,000 to $75,000 per year.
